Toronto summer is (finally) heating up, which means it's time for the Where People Stay At: Garden Day Party at Allan Gardens! Join us on June 20th at the scenic botanical garden for a wholesome daytime soirée like no other <3
Play games, drink tea, and meet local devs at the beautiful botanical Allan Gardens Conservatory! Making a game or curious to check out works-in-progress? Meet indies making eclectic games in your city! Peruse their games, zines, cyberware and DIY merch without the alienation of screens and algorithms.
On June 13th from 11-2PM, join Ojibway dancer Tiffani Vart for a hands on hoop dancing workshop where participants will craft and personalize your own hoops. Guided by tradition, we’ll begin by building the hoops from scratch, then wrap them with meaningful colors. Afterward, we will learn some hoop dance moves, helping you connect to the rhythm and the flow. This is a drop-in activity - all are welcome!
*At St.Lawrence Community Rec Centre * This session will focus on what Placemaking and Public Realms mean for our local neighbourhoods in Toronto Centre and how we created and activated local destinations like Allan Gardens, a cultural jewel of our city. Additionally, this session will discuss the benefits of generating more vibrant neighbourhoods and how that can improve our day-to-day experiences.

📣 Join us in celebrating the launch of Grandmother Donna Powless’ new audio stories, sharing her work with the Taiaiako'n Historical Preservation Society and the plants that hold deep meaning within her Cayuga (Haudenosaunee) culture.
📣 Shop this feel-good event for native plants, affordable veggie starters, house plants, and cultural plants.
🌱 This is a multi-vendor event featuring: 1) Crystal Star Nursery (@crystalstarnursey) 2) Native Plants in Claremont Inc. (@nativeplantsinclaremont) with native plants for all garden conditions, 3) Plantzzahut (@plantzzahut) with carnivorous plants, 4) Friends of Allan Gardens for volunteer propagated house plants, veggie starters and cultural plants.
The Easter Bunny had so much fun last year that they’re coming back to Allan Gardens!
There will be an easter egg hunt, treats, and more!

🌸 The Friends of Allan Gardens and Mozhdeh Hashemian have teamed up to host Allan Gardens 3rd Annual Nowruz Celebration! This is a public event for people of all ages, and backgrounds focused on sharing Iranian culture and celebrating our collective love for spring and spring blooms!
🌱 The Friends of Allan Gardens are hosting Allan Garden’s inaugural Seedy Sunday! We’ll have drop-in activities like vermicomposting, a seed exchange table, and more! Plus, don’t miss our fantastic vendors and organizations!
👀 What to expect? This is a drop-in program for all ages and all gardening levels. We will have different stations set up. You are encouraged to visit them all!
