You’re invited to the Friends of Allan Gardens annual Spring Plant Sale fundraiser! Feel good shopping this sale for Native Plants, Veggie Starters, House Plants, and Cultural Plants.
Green Thumbs Growing Kids is a registered charity serving Toronto’s downtown-East neighbourhoods. We cultivate environmental stewardship by providing hands-on garden and food education to urban children and their communities.
On Sunday April 28 from 1-4pm, join them at Allan Gardens Children’s Conservatory as they celebrate their 25th Anniversary. Enjoy live music, local food, our annual plant sale and an incredible silent auction - and visit the Kid’s Zone to take part in free activities, including face painting! All are welcome.
Join us to work with the plants that sustain us. We will be learning the Onkwehonwe (original peoples) peach pit game, and sharing more plant teachings. We will also be seeding bean seeds to take home and grow for the season.
Alanna, the science producer for Ocean School, will be bringing the "Ocean, Freshwater, and Us", a giant floor map of Canada and encouraging participants to take action and make a promise for the ocean. This interactive map will help participants learn about and connect with the importance of the waters. Designed for kids ages 4-14. but older and younger siblings welcome!
Pete Moss is an acclaimed children's musician who draws inspiration from everyday birds, plants and weather. Pete’s songs inspire empathy, wonder and affection toward living things. Program opens with crafts. Pete sings at 11:30am. Designed for kids ages 3-8, but older and younger siblings welcome!
🌸 The Friends of Allan Gardens and George Brown’s School of English as a Second Language (ESL) have teamed up to host Allan Gardens Nowruz Celebration! This is a public event for people of all ages, and backgrounds focused on sharing Iranian culture and celebrating our collective love for spring and spring blooms!
