Join us for planting & storytelling with Donna Powless, Director of the Taiaiako’n Historical Preservation Society, and her family!
We will be sharing stories around the fire, seeding Corn, Beans & Squash in pots to take home & ending the program by planting a White Pine Tree. All ages welcome. Adult Supervision required for Children.
Led by Taiaiako’n Historical Preservation Society. Overlaps with the Allan Gardens Farmers Market which runs 10am to 2pm.
Tentative Program Schedule:
12pm to 12:30pm: a shared lunch
12:30pm to 3:30pm: storytelling around the Sacred Fire & open planting activities for all ages.
3:30pm: closing activities, planting the white pine tree.
Exact timing may vary.
When? May 24th from 12-4PM.
Where? In the Allan Garden’s Children’s Conservatory and Teaching Garden on the west side of the park. By Jarvis and Carlton. Address is 19 Horticultural Ave, Toronto, Ontario.
Please note that there is NO parking on site. There is street parking along Carlton St. and Gerrard St., as well as a Green P parking lot at 405 Sherbourne St.
