Join the Palm House Grand Reopening Celebration!

After years of anticipation… we’re thrilled to share with you a reopening date for the beloved Palm House! Originally constructed in 1910, and designed by Robert McCallum, the Palm House has become a beacon for community, and the crown jewel of horticulture in Toronto. We’re thrilled to be celebrating its restoration!

When? Wednesday May 14th from 10am to 7pm.

Where? The Newly Restored Allan Gardens Palm House! 160 Gerrard St E, Toronto, ON


Open House Celebration Schedule:

10am, 11am, 12pm, and 1pm: Red Pepper Spectacle Arts giant puppet shows in the Palm House. Shows happen on the hour for the first four hours. Shows last for 15 minutes.

2pm to 7pm: Hala on Stilts performing as a grasshopper, bee, moth, and flowers

All Day: Face painting and popsicles in the Children’s Conservatory on the west side of the park.

This event is hosted by the City of Toronto Parks & Recreation, and supported by Councillor Chris Moise, Friends of Allan Gardens, Native Women’s Resource Centre Toronto, and Red Pepper Spectacle. Accessible washrooms are available.
