📣 2026 Call for Nominations: Treasurer

Want to help Friends of Allan Gardens Grow Bigger, Bolder and Better?

Friends of Allan Gardens (the Friends) is thrilled to invite dynamic and passionate individuals to join our volunteer Board of Directors for the role of Treasurer.

These are exciting times for the Friends and we have even bolder ambitions for the future. We have a strong and growing base of programs and community relationships, a proven track record of fundraising, maturing organizational and governance and a partnership with the City of Toronto’s Park Department that will unlock new ideas and opportunities for Allan Gardens.  In 2023, we launched Growing with the City outlining ‘an ecosystem of initiatives’ for revitalizing Allan Gardens. In 2024, we expanded the Teaching Garden with support from the Garden Club of Toronto and launched a weekly year-round Farmers Market. Last year, we worked with the City of Toronto and the Native Women's Resource Centre to reopen the renovated Palm House. And we just launched a petition to Expand the Conservatory at Allan Gardens!

The wind is in our sails. We are ready to take Allan Gardens into the future and are looking for others who share our enthusiasm.

As we continue to grow and expand our impact, we are seeking a Treasurer to join our Board of Directors, to contribute both strategic insight and hands-on support to strengthen our financial systems, transparency, and sustainability.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to use their financial expertise to be part of a dynamic organization and contribute to a vibrant community and city!

If you want to make a meaningful and lasting impact and have the skills and experience to help guide us forward, please consider joining our team!
